Deep and pillow-top mattresses need a sheet cut to match, and a standard fitted sheet will only strain and slip. This one is made for the job. We weave it from long-staple Egyptian cotton, grown along the Nile and spun into a finer, stronger yarn than shorter fibres allow. It is a single-ply, true 400 thread count sateen, which is what gives the fabric its smooth feel against the skin and its resistance to pilling over years of use.

The sateen weave brings more threads to the surface for a soft sheen and a smooth hand as you get into bed. At 110 gsm the cloth is a breathable weight that sits flat and drapes cleanly rather than bunching.

The generous 46cm full depth is designed to fit mattresses up to around 38cm deep, clearing a deep or pillow-top mattress with room to spare. A fully elasticated skirt grips right round to keep the corners secure. It stays where you put it.
