Heat gathers around the head and neck, and once a pillow warms up it's hard to get comfortable again. Our Cooling Pillow is built to hold its shape and keep that surface feeling fresh.
The cover fabric carries heat away from your skin faster than ordinary cotton or polyester, so it feels cool the moment your head meets the pillow. That cool-to-touch effect has been independently tested and falls within the recognised range for cooling fabrics - the freshness is measured, not just described. The sensation is strongest as you settle; through the night, the breathable construction and moisture-wicking fibres help disperse the warmth and damp that usually collect around the head, so the surface stays comfortable for longer.
This is a firm pillow with a box-edge construction, which keeps a consistent height rather than flattening under weight. That support suits back and side sleepers, and larger-frame sleepers in particular, holding the head and neck in line through the night.
Standard size (48 x 75cm). Hypoallergenic and easy to care for - simply sponge clean.
50% polyester / 50% polyethylene
Sponge clean with a weak solution of detergent and warm water and dry thoroughly
Our cooling bed linen regulates body temperature, preventing overheating—ideal for warm sleepers, night sweats, and hot flushes.

I've just received my pillows but am finding they're bunching up inside the pillowcase (Belledorm Eqyptian 400 thread count) making the pillow bouncy. The boxed edge is taking up space so my pillowcases are too narrow. Is there a bigger pillowcase to go with this pillow?
Asked by: Caroline
You may wish to have a look at our bolster pillowcases here, as these are a little larger and may give the pillow more room:

Please note, the Cooling Pillow is still based around standard pillow dimensions, so a bolster pillowcase may not be an exact fit, but it could help reduce the bunching you are experiencing.

How firm is this pillow? I'm a side sleeper and need good support.
Asked by: Kelly
This is a firm pillow with a box edge construction, which means it holds its shape and height well rather than compressing flat. It's specifically designed for side sleepers and those with a larger frame who need their head and neck properly supported to stay aligned with the spine. If you prefer a softer, sinkable feel, this probably isn't the right choice, it's built for structure and support.

I get really hot at night, will this keep me cool all night long or does the cooling wear off?
Asked by: Clare
The cooling fabric gives you that immediate fresh feeling when you first rest your head, and the breathable construction helps disperse heat throughout the night rather than trapping it. It won't stay cold like an ice pack, but the moisture-wicking fibres and airflow design mean heat doesn't build up the way it does with a standard pillow. Most hot sleepers will notice a difference in how often they need to flip the pillow over.

Is this pillow actually cool to the touch or is it just marketing?
Asked by: Dianne
The cooling effect has been independently tested and confirmed to deliver a measurable cool-to-touch sensation. It's not a gel pad or insert, the cooling property is in the fabric itself, so the surface feels noticeably fresh when you lie down. It won't feel ice-cold, but there is a genuine temperature difference compared to a standard polyester pillow.

what is the best pillow for hot sleepers?
Asked by: Sharon
The best pillow for hot sleepers is one designed to draw heat away from the head and encourage airflow during the night. The Belledorm Cooling Pillow is an excellent choice, as it uses cooling fabric technology and breathable construction to help reduce heat build-up and keep the sleep surface feeling fresh.
Its supportive box-edge design helps maintain comfortable head and neck alignment while the cooling material works to regulate temperature, making it particularly suitable for those who tend to overheat while sleeping.
